Sever ties with Perikatan if you want to work with BN, Zahid tells PAS

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS must sever ties with Perikatan Nasional if they want to work with Barisan Nasional for the 15th General Election, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"They (PAS) knew the deadline, so you should ask them about it, but it would be ideal if they want to forge a partnership with Barisan.

"If they don't comply with the terms, we can go solo. This is not about being overconfident – this is about faith.

"We have to move with our own 'war strategy'. But if they want to be with us, they are free to use their logo and we will compromise while working together during GE15," the Umno president told reporters here Tuesday (Oct 4).

Ahmad Zahid was speaking to reporters after a meeting with Umno's Puteri, Pemuda and Wanita wings as well as division chiefs.

All 191 Umno divisions attended the meeting, including members of the supreme council.
